Solution

a = 40 cm = 0.4 m

b = 30 cm = 0.3 m

c = 0.20 m

s = (a + b + c)/2 = (0.4 + 0.3 + 0.2)/2 = 0.45

A = Area = sqrt (s (s - a) (s - b) (s - c))

A = sqrt (0.45 (0.45 - 0.4) (0.45 - 0.3) (0.45 - 0.3))

A = 0.0225 m2

B = magnetic field = 0.5 T

magnetic flux = BA = 0.5 x 0.0225 = 0.01125
