b) ho = 11.5 cm, hi = 4 cm

do + di = 38.0 cm

di   = 38 - do

M = hi / ho = - d i / do

4 / 11.5 = - (38 - do ) /do

0.348 do = - 38 + do

do = 58.27 cm

c) image distance di = 58.27 - 38 = 20.27 cm

1 / f = 1 / do + 1 / di = 1 / 58.27 + 1 / 20.27

f = 15 cm
