What is the concentration of H2SO4 solution if experiment sh

What is the concentration of H2SO4 solution if experiment shows that 12.2 mL of the solution neutralizes the base in 0.332g of NaOH?

a) 0.340 molar

b) 0.0830 molar

c) 0.207 molar

d) 0.0142 molar

Solution

Reaction: NaCl + AgNO3 ------> AgCl + NaNO3

Mole ratio of NaCl and AgCl is 1:1.

Moles of AgCl = mass of AgCl/molarmass of AgCl = 0.123 g/(143.32 g/mol) = 8.58x10-4 mol

Moles of NaCl = moles of AgCl = 8.58x10-4 mol

Molarity of NaCl = moles of NaCl/volume (in L) = (8.58x10-4 mol)/(40 mLx(1 L/1000 mL)) = 0.02145 mol/L = 0.021 M.

So, the molarity of NaCl solution is c) 0.021 molar.
