In homeopathy, the potency of the drug increases with dilution. Means, the more diluted drugs are more potent. The principle is similar to the nanotechnology, and it believes that if the drug is most diluted, the drug molecules can better penetrate the target tissues. If the drug is present in too minute quantities, it may fail to produce the pharmacological response, while the higher drug concentrations produce adverse effects.

Curare (tubocurarine) is previously used as an arrow poison as it can cause muscle paralysis. Curare is a type of non-depolarizing blocker of acetylcholine receptors in the skeletal muscle. Blockade of these receptors prevents the binding of acetylcholine, which is needed for the muscle depolarization that triggers muscle contraction. Tubocurarine is used in the treatment of muscle spasms (for example in smoking withdrawal) and also to relieve age-related skin folds on the face.
