Q1 In uniform circular motion what are the average velocity

Q1) In uniform circular motion, what are the average velocity and average acceleration for one revolution? Explain Q2) Under what condition(s) is the magnitude of the average velocity equal to average speed? Explain

Solution

Q1.
Since velocity and acceleration are vector quantities, so the rotation of these vectors is 360 degrees in one revolution and the average is 0, as it changes direction as it goes around the circle

Q2.
The magnitude of average velocity of an object equals to its average speed when
1. Magnitude of distance covered is equal to the magnitude of displacement.
2. The motion of the object is in a straight line i.e. in a particular direction.
