Select one:
a. 250 - 350 Ma
b. 23 – 66 Ma
c. 146 – 250 Ma
d. 66 – 146 Ma
Solution
a. 250-350 Ma
Around 335 to 250 million years ago, Gondwana and Laurasia joined together to form the supercontinent Pangaea, which existed until approximately 215 to175 million years ago. Gondwana then separated from Laurasia (the mid-Mesozoicera) in the breakup of Pangaea, drifting farther south after the split. Gondwana itself then also broke apart.
