product life cycle has four stages :

1. introduction

2. growth

3. maturity

4. decline

PLC do affect the outsourcing decisions. if the product is new or just going to get introduced in the market it is advisable to outsource. because though we have done so many research on the product we never know whether the product will succeed. so, instead of going to invest in machines we can outsource to others.

during growth , we can outsource because of the high demand.

maturity also we can outsource because of sustainability.

decline stage is not advisable to outsource. it must be wise if we use it to do something better.
