CO2 exists as solid as well as gas in the atmosphere of mars.
This is because during the day time temperature rises & CO2 exists as gas.
Whereas during nights the temperature falls and CO2 exists as solid.
Mars does not have enough atmospheric pressure to convert CO2 into liquid phase.
