Let the srting makes an angle with the rod then , cos = 1.5 / 2
                                                                                  = 41.4 o
sin = radius / 2
from this radius R = 2 sin 41.4
                            =1.322 m
The tension in the string be T then he T cos components are cancel each other.And T sin components are add each other.
And sum of T sin components is equal to m v2 / R
So, T sin + T sin =  m v 2/ R
               2 T sin =  m v 2 / R
from this wefind tension T value
where   v = speed = 4.65 m / s
           m = mass = 4.2 kg
substitue values weget answer
